Arena is a world-famous brand designing and manufacturing an complete assortment of top-quality sportswear for swimmers. The Slovak branch of that company has chosen premises at the Polus City Center, renting them continuously since 2001. This boutique at the shopping mall is situated in a lucrative zone, close to the main rotunda.
We have planned the location concept and creative design as bound to the middle axis, clearly “readable” from the shop’s frontage. The main part of the shop constitute the wall-panels and gondola shelves with their displayed goods. We attached really great importance and attention to the presentation of the goods and so all the placement of presentational elements within the interior is definitely not accidental. In fact - it follows strict rules. The panels are designed in simple horizontal lines to create a whole/entity. The rows of pictures over the panels lengthened and enlarged that space.
When devising the colour scheme, we based our efforts on the Arena’s corporate design. For the period 2010-12, the parent company of Arena chose primary colours ranging between white, grey and black. In contrast with the deep dark-blue of the walls, the shelving panels and central “gondola”-units are made in pure white. We wanted to highlight and emphasise this colourful goods, so that it would enchant the customer by its contrasting colours.
