Ordered by a private investor, we compiled several versions of an architectonic appreciation study on the bottom floor of that hotel as well as of the free land-lot in the street Obchodná in the capital’s downtown.
The goal of that verification process on the 1st and 2nd underground floor of the current hotel building was to increase the number of rentable premises. Within his explication, the investor sought a functional extension of the hotel complex, i.e. by an apartment store on the corner of the streets Obchodná and Poštová, including the underground parting places.
For our artistic design, we have chosen something new, something that would contrast with the hotel’s Post-Modernistic architecture. The facades are designed in a way integrating the inner-life of the shoppers into the scenery of a flustered busy street of the central city. The evening illumination offers a new visual experience with a new perception of the surrounding historical facades.
